Gem Spot: Prehnite

My first encounter with prehnite was in Glastonbury, England. First impressions are important and my first impression of this delicious gemstone was LOVE. The energy emanating from this light green rock oozed the healing vibe of love and goodness. It opens your heart allowing for the good things in life to manifest in your reality.

I just bought a new batch of prehnite which reminded me of my first introduction to this gem. These gemstones are from Mali, Africa and have epidote inclusions. The epidote amplifies the prehnite's love vibration.by connecting heaven and earth. Epidote aligns you to parallel realities which shows you how you already know how to be free in love.

Both prehnite and epidote teaches transparency in relationships to authentically connect.with another.

Come by The Crystal Garden to view, touch, hold and experience prehnite in person.

Completing a Chapter of Life

Over the past months including more months into the future, this time of my life has been about completion. An era has ended. A chapter or three are closed now. The timing of completion seemingly coincided with the few days before the Vernal Equinox.

This past weekend, my love, Vincent, and I headed across the state to Clearwater. My godmother passed away and we went to assist her sister, my other aunt in clearing out the apartment. She had it all done by the time we got there. Her efficiency gave us the time to revisit important places of our past, have a a long walk down memory lane and say good-bye to fond memories.

In 1945, my grandfather pioneered his way in the Clearwater area. He built some homes where hardly any infrastructure existed. He developed a block which is now called Lembo Circle off of Druid Road. There was a sign up on Lembo Circle showing an upcoming development called Lembo Court. We stopped by and picked some grapefruit off of Grandpa's tree and headed over the Clearwater Beach.

Over the years of visiting Florida, we spent many days on that beach feeding seagulls and enjoying the sun and surf. Many of our old reel-to-reel black and white moving pictures show the family enjoying the beach and playing in the sand.

We also had to visit the old Kapok Tree. Our whole family has fond memories of having dinners at that amazing restaurant and gardens during it's hey day. It is now owned by Sam Ash Music Stores and there is a Kapok Special Events location. The day we went they were preparing for a prom.

As we drove home from an amazingly loving visit with my Aunt Dolly and Clearwater, I contemplated that the last of the Lembo family is gone from Clearwater. The era has ended. Although I continue to clear out the many closets, drawers, cabinets and more of my parent's huge home (want to rent it?) I know I am still in the process of endings. With every ending is a new beginning.

I look forward as I prepare to write the next chapter of my life. Using the energy of the Vernal Equinox when the sun has just entered Aries, the next cycle begins anew!

What cycles are you ending? How are you writing your next chapter?

Seeking Balance: Align Your Chakras

It's good to feel good. It's good to feel fine. (gotta song in my head . . .) So, the question is, "How does one find balance in order to achieve feeling good and fine?"

The first step is to have the awareness that something is out of balance. The second step is to uncover what the out of balance condition is and then take action to recapture feeling good. Emotions are elusive. Some people aren't wired to acknowledge their feelings but will act out in other ways. Others emote every day in every way. One way of being or the other is not good or bad, it just is.

Ultimately, the goal is to regain balance. There are many tools available to achieve this goal. Journaling can help you get in touch with your feelings. Dream analysis will help you recognize buried issues. Working with color and gemstones are beneficial.

Kyanite, pictured above, is a gemstone that is reputed to "align the chakras with or without conscious direction." Add your intention that you wish to feel balanced and aligned while holding kyanite. You can also place a piece of kyanite into your pillow case while you sleep, on your desk while you work or in your pocket, purse or brief case. Every time you look at the kyanite it will remind you of your intention and help you achieve your goal. What you focus on is what creates your reality.

What gemstones do you use to help you feel balanced?

World Peace Requires Inner Peace

On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, I had the great honor to be in the same room as H.H. the Dalai Lama. It was a big room and there were approximately 3000 people there with me, but at least I was in his presence. The last time I had the blessing to see and hear him was between Hurricanes Frances and Jean in the Fall of 2004. There were about 10,000 people in the stadium for those events. I was blessed to attend the General Address and the 3 days of teachings of Padmasambahva that followed.

In this address, the Dalai Lama expressed the following. He said that people want affection. As children we have the affection of our mothers. If that is missing at a young age it has an affect on us throughout our lives unless we receive the affection that we need. He said even cats have the capacity to know sincere affection. If you show them kindness and affection, they respond.

A mother's attention is active care. This active care is used as a seed for world peace. World Peace requires inner peace. Without inner peace attaining world peace is impossible.

Shifting and changing emotions

Constant change is a given. The balance of the emotional body can get stuck in various parts of the physical body. The imbalance may present itself as a sore back, a congested bronchial passage or a recurring condition of any sort. The key to realigning the imbalance into wellness is to find the source.
